Well I had an interesting email this morning from a couple of brides, one being upset. The one that was upset emailed me and asked me if I had sold a wedding photo of her and her husband to another photographer. At first I didn’t understand what she was asking, I mean why would you sell a wedding photo to another photographer?

Well she gave me the link for a craigslist advertisment in the Fort Myers area and low and behold there is a photo that I shot and post processed….but wait…that is not my company attahed to the photo.

I am posting this because it enrages me when artists of any medium takes credit for work that is not theirs. Not because he is stating that it is his persay..but because there are poor brides out there that are booking this person because they love the photo that was shown on their ad, not knowing that this photo was unlawfully taken from another local wedding photographer. To all of my prospective brides: PLEASE be sure and ask questions to any photographer you are thinking about hiring. You need to ask questions such as: “Are all the photos shown on your site and advertisements taken by you?”

Here is the link to the advertisement. If you look carefully on my site you will see the same bride shown in different shots throughout some of my galleries. I am not sure where because this was an older wedding I had done in 2008.

Please y’all beware of some photographers doing this, I have been told by others that this happens alot! Now I have to find time to go through every website that has my work and make sure they are watermarked….just another thing to add to my busy schedule. haha.

P.S. for all that do not know I am currently enjoying a relaxing night in Mt. Hood, Oregon. Why? Because this weekend I have a wedding to shoot in Lincoln city so I am making the best of every day in this beautiful land full of mountains, rushing waters, and 60 degree weather….YES I said 60 degree weather in JUNE!! Yeah ME!

What a blast we had both on the beach and at the pier! Kelsey + Jerry plan to wed this August and I cannot wait to be there to photograph their wedding!

Well it is a little over two days left before I leave for my road trip to Oregon for a wedding shoot! I am so excited. I cannot wait to take glorious photos of my adventure across the U.S. I plan on visiting Yosemite, California Coast, Las Vegas, and lounge at some of the most tranquil beaches on the Oregon coast! YEAH ME! So tune in for some great photos as I will be posting them once I get back! If anyone has any tips or places that must be visited while I am on this grand adventure, please let me know!! I had so much fun at this wedding and the sweet tea was sooo good. This wedding was huge though, around 300 guests, 30 bridal attendants, and 5 acres of dancing, mingling, and celebrating! Here are just some of my favorite images:

I completely forgot to post this session and of course six months later I realize this. LOL. It is midnight and I was just going through my blog, critiquing things as I do and noticed that I had only one session under portraits…. OY! I need to hire someone just to keep up with this thing.
