Here at Maria Angela Photography, we like to do everything custom. We don’t believe in “drag and drop” templates. Blah! Below is our recent design for a guestbook. Grab a sharpie with an ultra thin tip and sign away on the transparent pages! This book is so fab and modern compared to the tradional boring blank pages of a guestbook. There are many manufacturers, styles, colors, materials and designs to choose from in the wedding industry. Many of my brides and grooms have no idea the range of choices when it comes to cover material, sizes, and types of pages. This is why I offer a standard selection with my wedding collections. Since 2010 rolled into gear we are in the process of ordering a few more sample albums. We should have these new albums by March. The new samples will include an Italian Leather Book, A Fine Linen covered coffee table book, a Lustre Finished Hard Cover Album and various smaller replicas to match. These new samples are going to be added to the albums we already offer (Images shown below). If you are looking for a more specific style or have seen a book that you particularly like and want, let us know. We deal with many reputable album dealers and can pretty much guarantee we can get it. Here are some examples of what there is available in the album world:

1. Size.
The Albums Maria Angela Photography offers are 10×10, however you can choose larger sizes if desired for an additional fee. Albums also are available in vertical, square or horizontal orientation. Most main albums are in the range of  8×8 to 12×12.

2. Pages.
Albums can come with pages as thin as the glossy pages in the books on your coffee table to as thick as a piece of a presentation board.
Coffee Table Albums: Other photographers offer their coffee table books as very thin, flimsy paged option. I do not have these style books, instead, my coffee table book pages are about the thickness of a piece of cardboard. If you are visual, imagine the cardboard backing to a legal pad. This is the thickness you will be dealing with when you order our coffee table books. These pages do lay flat, however you can bend them slightly.
Flush-Mount Albums: Photographic prints mounted onto a thick art board. These pages lie flat and do not bend or wrinkle and are one of the more popular choices right now but are also more expensive than coffee table books.

3. Cover and Materials. Metal, leather, fabric, photo, cameo.
Metal: This should be pretty obvious except that there’s different kinds of metal. You can get metal with a photo printed on it on brushed aluminum with engraving…We do not offer samples of this cover at this time, however is an option if you are interested.
Leather: Available in different colors. Leather covers can have one or more photo opening on the front or not. You can choose from just faux leather to three dimensional printed designs.
Photo: Your photo can be printed and wrapped around the entire book. Available on Canvas, normal lustre finish, or inserted into thick Acrylic.
Cameo: Leather covers with a photo cutout are called cameo covers.

4. Design.
Designs are done in house which means there are no limitations to changes or customization. We give you “x” amount of photos to pick out from your photo disc, and from there we design a book custom to your wedding day. Once we are finished with the preliminary design, you will receive an electronic PDF proof via email to look over and approve. You have the final say, you make the changes and with no additional costs. We can even make a simplified design for a book if desired where there are one to two images per page with no fancy colors or designs.

5. Budget.
Again, this is something that can vary widely depending on the album size, material, and design that you choose. Our albums that come standard range from $500 to over $1100. If you decided you need a more affordable basic book to show off your wedding images, we can create a press printed book for as little as $250 (Only by special requests). Parent albums which are duplicates of the main album and typically smaller are less expensive.
